Fabulous!!! Rihanna brings on the glamour

Making a statement without even saying a word, Rihanna made a bold arrival to the 2009 Glamour Magazine Women of The Year Honors at Carnegie Hall in in New York City on monday  evening .

The Russian Roulette singer looked striking in her evening gown as she joined U.S. first lady Michelle Obama, British fashion designer Stella McCartney and nine others being feted honored during a star-studded evening of girl power.

The annual Women of the Year Awards, published by Glamour magazine for the past 20 years and sponsored by L’Oreal, pay tribute to women who have made major contributions to entertainment, business, sport, fashion, science and politics.

Rihanna had the honor of accepting the “Back On Top” Women of the Year award on Monday that was given by model Iman and she entered with a tear, only then claiming it was PMS and happily continued to thank friends, Jay-Z and her mother and grandmother.

With a smile on her face, she joked, “As usual, I decided do the tightest dress I could find,” she said to appreciative laughter.

Riri joined the list after taking a public stand on domestic violence and urging other women to follow her lead after being beaten by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
