Disgraced former Springbok Captain Joost Van Der Westhuizen has been given the Boot from SuperSport as a Rugby presenter after admitting what everybody knew all along : That he was lying when he denied being the man behind the Drug and Sex tape Scandal!!!
In a statement SuperSport says: “We have perused extracts from Joost van der Westhuizen biography, and held discussions with him.
Following those discussions, SuperSport and Joost have mutually agreed to terminate the freelance agreement between them forthwith”.
Joost was already under suspension from the company after the news broke of the video.
Joost van der Westhuizen has confessed tothe media that it was him in the controversial sex video that was shot about three years ago. The confession comes after months of denials. “It is me in the sex video and I’m very, very sorry that I lied. Please forgive me.”
In the video Van der Westhuizen performs, among other things, oral sex, and sniffs the drug Cat. When the video broke out, a furore erupted over the alleged authenticity of the tape, with Van der Westhuizen saying it was not him in the video and claiming he was the victim of a hate campaign.
His lies Finally caught up with him!!!
In his book Joost: The Man in the Mirror, Van Der Westhuizen tells of the hell he went through after the story broke. “The fact that I was living a lie was eating me up inside.”
Van der Westhuizen told Rapport he also lied to his wife Amor and only confessed to her at the beginning of August. “She is the most wonderful person and from there we started working on our relationship, left right and centre.
“I haven’t forgiven myself yet. How can I expect her to forgive me?”
He admitted he could still lose his family. “Things are not 100% with Amor yet.” However Van der Westhuizen rubbished claims of a pending divorce.

I really don’t think Joost gets paid 500 000 a year.I would estimate between 200 000 and 300 000 which many top paying positions pay.

By the way many editors are given instructions on what and how to edit journalists work. If you read on Joost for example,its not what the journalist wrote originally. Perhaps its the top editors opinion? Perhaps its also the opinion of the publisher then?Or perhaps the owners of that specific media?Journalists definatly don’t have all the say.The influence comes from the top.
I still cannot believe that the media people are so adamant that they reserve every right to intrude in celebs personal lives.
